This was going to be our biggest and best show ever. Booked two months in advance for September 12th, 2001. The Belly Up has a capacity of 600 and I think we played for 25 people not including the other band’s members. On the afternoon of the 11th I recorded president Bush’s speech on minidisc direct from the TV audio output and at the end of our set I hit play on the recording and we jammed over it for several minutes before going into our final song.

I was so excited for this concert that I made an unsolicited poster for the promoter. Two van loads of friends and I drove from North San Diego County and had the time of our lives.
